LoveFilm on PS3 Review

A recent addition to the PS3 media tab now enables a LoveFilm shortcut. Once you have taken a tour of what's on, you might want to sign up for a free 30 day trial. Form filing on PS3 takes a while even using a Sony PS3 keyboard. You must be over 18 and enter payment details during sign up, this is on the assumption you will keep the monthly service. Also as in my case it's so when you return a Blu-ray film just before the free trail expires - they can bill you for 1 month membership and remind of the small print. Films must be returned to their warehouse before you can close your account before the trail period ends. No late fees works on the basis you keep the account open. 30 days is just enough time to watch all the best online films and have a few by post. The choice of on demand films streamed to you PS3 mainly consist of the ones we've seen on TV 5/10 years ago. Their online collection features the big films of year's gone bye. On the other hand LoveFilm rentals by post lets you access the new release DVD and Blu-Rays. Top films such as James Cameron's Avatar (not 3d), and The Social Network (2010) have waiting lists and you can set your priority so they don't arrive all at once, or none for a week. On demand streaming is convenient. They claim to have over 70 thousand. The special interest collections have short flicks and dirty ones. All the films you watch you can rate. A few I watched were painful and rated after minutes of viewing. The girl on girl tantric massage brings a relaxing ambience to PS3, it's very popular but could be better. The climax might be in the third part not yet released. It had an average user rating 2 stars out of tens of thousands of viewings.

LoveFilm PS3 packages start from £4.99 per month to £9.99 per month. The cheaper doesn't allow streaming to you PS3 from their online service which seems backwards to me. Compared to other services such as BT Vision movies and Sky for Xbox 360, LoveFilm wins for price but looses out to both for on demand new movies. My rentals were posted out within one week. Customer service is overseas and I experienced a long wait.
