Sony PS3 Slim console prices are cheaper than expected, and the 80GB PS3 console prices start at only £215.00 to buy a PS3 Slim. There's cracking PS3 120gb deals to be had today in the Sale. In past years the best offers have long since gone by now. eg. the PS3 120GB bundle with Modern Warfare 2 or FIFA 10 has been heavily discounted on selected offers recommended here.

Well here it is. Many recent leaked pictured showing a Matte black Slim PS3 were true. The date has been set: Pre order PS3 Slim console for delivery on 1-09-2009 (UK). Priced at £249.99 Physically the Slim is 32% smaller, 36% lighter and has a 40GB bigger hard drive, giving PS3 Slim a storage capacity of 120GBs and consuming 34% less power than an old PS3 console. The PS3 Slim's Blu-ray player has been updated. Overall the new console generates less heat and runs quieter. Support for Linux O/S installations has been removed. As before with the 40GB and 80GB PS3 models, backwards compatibility with PlayStation games was not reintroduced on the Slim PS3 console.
