No. Rockstar games sadly announced back in 2004 San Andreas would be the last in the series for Playstation 2. GTA4 is using a new more fluid technology called NaturalMotion's euphoria animation technology which pushes 3D hardware to the limit. If you want to play GTA4 then you will need to replace your console.

Getting a new PlayStation is a great reason to get back into what feeds your passion - games playing! Most fanatic PlayStation owners have had their PS2 on every day for nigh on 7 years now; thus there are millions of guys excited about PS3s. If you want fast flowing realism in high-definition then you’ll love what this hardware can do.
