Dualshock 3 should've came with the PS3 on launch date, but due to circumstances Sony could've avoided, it didn't happen. A big thank-you to all who signed the e-petition to Sony Europe to ask for a dual shock pad on PlayStation 3. A total of 23,011 people gave their names and email addresses.

Sony's new PS3 SixAxis (DualShock 3) was announced at the 2007 Tokyo Game Show, the DualShock 3 is a controller for the PlayStation 3 that incorporates the functions and design features of the SixAxis with vibration capabilities. It was released in Japan on November 11, 2007. The Dual Shock 3 controller is expected to debut in North America and Europe in Spring 2008. Testers described the controller as being heavier than the standard SixAxis controller, and capable of vibration forces comparable to the DualShock 2. According to GameSpot, DualShock 3's "rumble was a touch weak"; while various others reported more refined vibration effects than the DualShock 2, particularly with the Metal Gear Solid 4 demonstration.

None of the PS3 games to date actually support the DualShock 3. Look for the DS3 sign on the back of the game cover.

I can't wait to get hold of my Dualshock 3. Just what the PS3 needs to put the bite back into gaming!! Compatible with all PlayStation 3. One last point, sorry but you can't buy a Dualshock 3 if you live in the UK (before 1st July 2008).

	The forthcoming release of PS3 Grand Turismo 5 Prologue coincides nicely with the shift in control pads. From 28/3/08 PS3 will be supplied with the new PS3 Dual Shock 3 controller (featuring a rumble) instead of the traditional placid SixAxis. The "hush hush" move is likely to be gradual, since there's thousands of new PS3 unsold which have SixAxis
