The newest gadget for PlayStation 3 is PS3 eye camera. This is not an ordinary webcam but a gizmo with numerous capabilities. Sony's main aim has always been to take gaming to the next level. The eye camera's functionalities fall nicely into that purpose. PS3 Eye Camera has the capability to capture standard videos along with audio and photos. The frame rate of 60 hertz gives you a 640 x 480 pixel resolution, and of 120 hertz gives you a 320 x 240 pixel resolution. It has a two-setting adjustable zoom lens. It adjusts zoom normally. But, you have to manually adjust between normal and zoom modes. It also has an in-built four-microphone array. This ensures suppression of background noise, echo cancellation, and voice location tracking in multiple directions. The microphone has a 48-kilohertz sampling rate in which each channel processes 16-bit samples. It has a signal-to-noise ratio of 90 decibels. All in all the Eye Camera specs are impressive. PS3 eye can do a lot to enhance your gaming in many ways. The first is obviously interacting and communicating with other players in a multi-player online game. It functions as both a video chat for six people and voice chat during the game. It can also take voice commands. The camera, because of its tracking features, detects each player’s location and has head tracking for upper body movement. The inertial sensors along with the video tracking are a motion control system called PlayStation Move. New games with this support are coming out. Using a wand controller, PS Move detects your movements with PS3 Eye Camera. The EyeCreate application allows you to snap pictures, and video and audio clips on to the PS3 console and edit them. It is a comprehensive editing tool offering you various professional effects and other artistic touches for you to modify your media. |
